INTERIOR DESIGN

Creating purposeful atmospheres for interiors has been one of my passions for a very long time. I develop integrated interior design concepts for each of my clients individually, always taking their requirements and spatial needs into consideration. The result will be successful if my clients are enchanted by the aesthetics, functionality and perfection of their new interior. My portfolio of services ranges from developing the overall floor plan and design concept to overseeing the construction – and researching and staging all of the furnishing elements as required.

When planning an interior, I aspire to a classical feel and create this atmosphere through the choice of materials and colors. I set rooms in scene naturally, allowing them to unfold their effects in an artistic manner. One of my primary sources of inspiration is the atmosphere of sophisticated boutique hotels, including their organization, lighting, comfort and well-being – all the immediate consequences of good design.

It gives me great pleasure to develop unique, timeless concepts with regard to both design and quality. A wide variety of styles and cultures also provide me with inspiration, but I translate them into new, modern contexts. I feel that historical elements and construction materials are ready-made objects of art in their perfection and they offer a wide range of design options. Well chosen historical elements often have wonderful patinas and in new, modern surroundings, they suddenly assume a completely new significance. I have great respect for the work of high quality craftsmen. The craftsmen who collaborate with me are familiar with my drawings, plans and standards of quality and know how to implement them to perfection. I love creating new environments and oases in which objects of art are set in scene by means of perfect lighting.

Mood lighting is a vital design element. In the evening, it infuses life into natural materials such as stone, wooden surfaces with the patina of age or use, and antique tiles or ceramic pieces.
