OIL PAINTING

I have always been passionate about the Asian way of handling materials, colours and forms. Delving into the art, textiles and ceramics of Asia has had a strong influence on my own work and aesthetic sense.

After receiving my fashion design degree, I received an offer from a Japanese manufacturer of innovative couture fabrics to work as a textile designer in the luxury segment.

I immediately began an in-depth study of the history and art history of Asia. At the same time, my desire grew to devote more of my time to painting – in particular, classical art and aesthetics. At the age of 13, I began to paint in oils.

My catalogue of works now encompasses over 130 medium- and large-format paintings.
