RETAIL
MASKWORLD FLAGSHIPSTORE

Established in Berlin in 1999, maskworld.com now has 120 employees and has developed into Germany's leading online source for costumes and accessories, supplying customers around the globe. In addition to professional customers such as theatre and film productions, Maskworld addresses everyone who is looking for a costume for Halloween, Carnival, their motto party or live action role playing.

Against this background, the company commissioned me to develop a flagship store that could match the online shop's user experience. Together with the firm’s Creative department, I developed a corporate design for the flagship store that would serve subsequent ones as well. The aim was to create a store that transports the visual language of the online shop and makes the brand tangible. The shop's focus is on staging the products. I designed extra large illuminated displays to create a cinema-like atmosphere filled with theme worlds. The integrated planning of the interior concept and the construction work to realise it took a total of six months.
